On January 12, 2008, Karen & Don hosted a benefit dinner at Timber Lake Lodge for the Long Lake Preservation Association to spread the word about the new Invasive Weed Control program on Long Lake.  Karen & Don put on quite a lavish buffet which was enjoyed by all.  All proceeds from the open bar went to the Lake Association. 

Troy Roatch, President, and Rich Clements, Director, of the Long Lake Preservation Association gave a short presentation on the weed control program and gave us information about how to join the effort as volunteers.

After dinner, sixteen of us stayed on to watch the Packer game.  The Green & Gold defeated some team from Seattle lead by a Walrus, and we all had a great time.
