Marinated Mushrooms 12 to 16 ounces mushrooms 1 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup oil 1/4 cup sherry or vermouth 3 tablespoons sugar garlic powder to taste Use medium size mushrooms or cut in half if they are large. Put all in a saucepan and bring to a rolling boil. Remove from the heat and let sit 5 to 10 minutes. Bring to a boil a second time. Shut off and keep in brine. Heat to serve.
